Importable 1003 Instructions

The output of our importable 1003 can be imported into any LOS that is capable of importing a file in Fannie Mae file format 3.2. Below you will find the simple instructions for importing the Fannie Mae file into Calyx Point.

Our importable 1003 automatically emails the account administrator the importable file whenever a prospective borrower "Saves and Finalizes" their application. Optionally the file may be sent to an additional email account using the standard CC field or to a loan officer email account if your service includes loan officer accounts. You may also generate an email for a partially completed application by logging in to your 1003 admin panel and clicking the "send" link next to any borrowers name.

The email sent will contain a file attachment including the email address of the prospective borrower in the file name, for example info@oppenheimergroup.com1003import.fnm. Upon receipt of these emails you should save the file attachments to either the WORK directory of your Calyx Point software installation of perhaps to your my documents directory of windows or if you prefer you can create a folder on your local hard drive and call it anything you choose, e.g. 1003 import files. You won't need to rename the files as they will always be unique in name due to the email address integrated into the file name. The unique file names of the importable files also facilitate easy identification in the case you don't import each file as it is received.

1. Save the attachment to your preferred folder as explained above.

2. Open Calyx Point.

3. Click on "New".

4. Click on "From Master".

5. Select the "State" and click "Open".

6. Click "File" from the drop down menu, highlight "Import From", click on "Fannie Mae DO/DU (Local)".

7. Find the directory where you saved the importable file, and highlight the file name and click "Open".

8. The file is imported. Click "OK". You're done!
