Support Edit Expanded FSBO Pages

Posting homes to your FSBO pages is a two step process one, preparing and loading the photos and two editing the page text.
STEP1 - PREPARING AND LOADING PHOTOS

Home For Sale By Owner 1 through 16 are all located on their own dedicated pages. The graphic above shows the EXACT NAMES that MUST be used for the photos to display properly!
NOTE: file names are critical they are all in lower case and must not be changed.
Each home for by owner page has four pictures associated with it, 3 small ones and one larger one. The photo you name fsbo*a.jpg (where *=the fsbo number) will automatically be displayed on the FSBO preview page that shows one picture per home as an overview for visitors.
These pictures are stored in a directory called "homes-for-sale-by-owner". The small pictures are named fsbo*a.jpg through fsbo*c.jpg (where *=the fsbo number) representing the tree small photos shown in the figure above. The larger photo is named fsbo*.jpg (where *=the fsbo number). for example if you name a photo fsbo1.jpg it will be displayed as the large photo for Homes for sale by owner 1, or if you name a photo fsbo5b.jpg it will be displayed on Homes for sale by owner 5 in the center position of the small photos, or if you name a photo fsbo1a.jpg it will be displayed in the left position of the small photos on Homes for sale by owner and also on the FSBO1 position of the Homes For Sale By Owner Preview page as well as the FSBO1 position on your home page if it displays featured homes for sale by owner.
The smaller pictures should be sized to 130 pixels wide for proper display. They will display properly if they are larger however the page load time will be slower. The exact size is not critical as the photos will be resized automatically when displayed on the page.

When adding new homes name the files properly and then place the pictures in the "homes=For-sale-by-owner directory and transfer them to the server using an FTP program. Alternatively you can upload the pictures using the Site Admin Interface.
We suggest CoffeeCup Free FTP 2.0 click to download. Set CofeeCup up to communicate with your website using the admin user name and password to access your website issued for use setting up email accounts and Contribute 2. If you don't already have one for setting up email accounts, admin user names and passwords are issued upon email request.
In CoffeeCup click "Servers" from the drop down menu then click "Add Server". Enter the following information:
Enter a User name for the server, we suggest you use your domain name.
Host Name/Address: ftp.yourdomain.com
replacing "yourdoamin.com" with the actual domain name of your website.
Click the bullet "requires user name and password".
Enter your User Name and Password.
Enter your local directory were you have the photos stored.
Enter the remote directory: /var/www/html/for-sale-by-owner/
Click "Cool".
Click on "Connect", select the FTP server to connect to: (your domain name)
Click on "Cool". CoffeCup should connect to the server.
Select the picture files to upload & transfer them.
NOTE: Using FTP software may be a bit above your comfort level. We offer training by phone (at our standard hourly rate) if you need our assistance in setting up CoffeeCup. Or if you prefer we can edit your pages for you. It typically takes between ten and fifteen minutes to put a new home up depending on whether the photos are already properly sized. You can send us 1 photo/home along with a description and we will post the home within 24 hours during the normal work week.
STEP 2 - EDITING THE PAGE TEXT - PRICE AND DESSCRIPTION
Connect to your website using Macromedia contribute (or your selected web editing program).
The pages containing the Homes for sale by owner are named:

Please note: these pages may be named slightly differently due to optimization. If you can't locate the proper pages contact us by email explaining the problem.
"Choose" the page you want to edit using the button on the left hand side of the Contribute browser window.
Click "Edit page" from the right hand side of the Contribute browser window. Edit the text on the page as needed then click "Publish". DO NOT MODIFY THE PICTURE FRAMES IN ANY WAY. The picture frames have been setup to accept and size the pictures automatically and editing this area of the page may prevent the pictures from displaying properly.
