Mortgage Website Design FAQ's Answers!
Q. How long will it take for my website to go live on the internet?
A. When you place your order you will receive a confirmation email with the information to setup your domain name and a link to our setup form. On average your website will be ready for your review within 2-3 business days of receipt of the completed setup form. It takes a few days because we allow you to select the primary colors of your website This way your site can truly reflect your own personal style. We also do custom graphics for the header of every site, no plain text headers on our mortgage websites!
Your site is then ready to go live as soon as you approve the draft of your site.

Q. What can be changed or customized during the setup of my mortgage website?
A. If you tell us what you want before setup begins we will try to accommodate your request. Something you don't want, for example, commercial loan information--- no problem, we'll take it out.
Tell us if you need an extra page or two covering a topic specific to your mortgage company. Maybe a page about VA loans, FHA loans, Jumbo loans...
Don't forget to make your customization requests clear from the beginning.

Q. Once my website is completed can I edit it myself?
A. Once your website has been approved and live on the internet, with FTP access, you can edit every part of your site.
We suggest that if you haven't worked on websites in the past you use a program like Adobe Contribute to edit your web pages. Contribute allows you to edit the web page text much like editing a word processing document. And best of all, don't worry if you make a mistake because Contribute automatically keeps backup copies so you can always step backwards to correct any problems you may create.
We have worked with many of the online editing tools many website designers supply with their sites, and frankly they are far from ideal. They often limit what you can edit, and please don't make any mistakes, because there is no going back.
We design search engine friendly mortgage websites and we suggest you use a tool designed by a company that specializes in website editing software, not by a company trying to offer every bell and whistle with their mortgage websites, even if the whistle blows a sour note.
Adobe Contribute was highly recommended by Mortgage Technology Magazine in their December 2003 edition.

Q. Do you offer an online 1003 form standard on your mortgage websites that I can import into my LOS?
A. Our LOS (Calyx Point...) importable 1003 mortgage application has the the best features of any online importable 1003 available today. Just to list a few:
No more lost borrowers The 1003 application start page captures all of the most important information about the borrower including: their contact information, how they rate their credit, reason for the loan and the loan amount. Each borrower enters all of this prior to entering the full application, then an email is immediately and automatically sent to you, which means no more lost leads due to the visitor being overwhelmed, and abandoning the application before sending it.
Borrowers may fill out an importable quick application or a full 1003 application. One of four versions of the quick application is automatically presented to the borrower based on the reason for loan they select: refinance, purchase, debt consolidation or home equity.
If the borrower selects the full 1003 application they can stop at any time and their application will be saved so they can continue at any time in the future without losing their application.
We suggest that you should give visitors easy options for contacting you; don't scare them away! They'll find another website that is more accommodating to their needs. Allow borrowers to contact you:
a. by telephone,
b. by email,
c. by short contact form,
d. by short mortgage application,
e. or by full 1003.

Q. Do you offer a back office that my clients can use to check on the status of their loans?
A. No. We don't want to remove the human element totally from the mortgage transaction. Your personal relationship, developed over the mortgage processing period, will insure that this borrower will recommend their friends and family directly to you in the future for all of their mortgage needs.
